There are many ways that we can get your photos into this gallery. It’s probably best to contact me by email before sending anything, but here are some possibilities:
• Find a friend who is an Adobe® Photoshop wizard (or if you are, you’ll want to do the scanning yourself). Then just attach the files to an email.
• Have your slides or prints scanned locally; there are many photo shops that now can do this. You might tell the scanning service that these images are destined for viewing on the Web—it will make their job easier (and possibly cheaper).
• Have duplicate (optical) slides or prints made, and just mail them to me. I’ll be happy to do the scanning, but really don’t want to be responsible for handling originals or for return postage.
In any event, I’d be happy to see a selection of images that highlight people and activities, rather than just places. (My own shots were mostly of places—not nearly as meaningful now as they were then.) I’d also like to have a reasonable number of shots per individual, and see many different individuals’ work represented. Hope to hear from you soon…
