Nestled among the rolling hills and
flower fields of northern
Santa Barbara County, the University of Lompoc is a private,
non-sectarian baccalaureate institution. Offering a wide range of
fully-accredited degree programs while emphasizing a well-rounded
liberal arts education, U.L. also specializes in the agricultural and
engineering disciplines valuable to our surrounding communities.
At U.L., we are especially proud of our ethnic and
cultural diversity and ability to welcome students, faculty, and
staff members with disabilities. As Provost Dr. Mary Cheng
explains: “We believe that the University of Lompoc is first in
the country to achieve full compliance with Section 508 of the
U.S. Rehabilitation Act—in our web presence, instructional
materials, and procurement process. We have even invited an Office
of Civil Rights audit to confirm this claim and identify any problems
that we might have missed.”
With small classes, one of the best student-faculty
ratios in the country, numerous extra-curricular activities, and a
family-like social environment, the University of Lompoc is
truly a place for all students to grow to their full potential.
